Brigade Reverse Alarm White Noise 82dB

The Brigade Reverse Alarm White Noise 82dB (model BBS-82) is a bbs-tek BACKALARM broadband reverse alarm for utes, trucks, plant and traffic control vehicles. Instead of the constant single-tone beep of a standard reversing alarm, it produces a multi-frequency broadband sound that dissipates quickly and stays localised to the danger zone directly behind the vehicle.

Because the sound doesn't carry the way a single-tone beeper does, people working nearby can tell exactly which vehicle is reversing without the noise nuisance and complaints that come with standard alarms. This makes it a practical option for depots, worksites and traffic control operations where several vehicles may be moving at once.

The BBS-82 is the only alarm in the Brigade medium-duty range that carries NAS/PIEK approval for night-time delivery, a European low-noise certification. Night works noise limits in Australia are set by the relevant council or road authority, so check the conditions that apply to your job.

The alarm is sealed to IP68 and epoxy filled against mud, water and vibration, with a mechanical resistance rating of 10G, and it can be steam and pressure cleaned. It runs on 12V and 24V systems with a 9 to 32V operating range, and mounts on the bottom or rear surface using the supplied bracket. It carries UN ECE Regulation 10.04 EMC approval (E11*10R04/03*5170*01) and conforms to SAE J994.

Installation should be carried out by a suitably competent person or auto electrician.

This alarm runs at a fixed 82dB. If your vehicles move between quiet residential streets and noisy sites, the Brigade Self Adjusting Reverse Alarm 77-97dB reads the surrounding noise and sets its own volume 5 to 10dB above it instead.

Also available: the Vehicle Direction Alarm, a directional voice/tonal alarm covering left, right and reverse movement, for sites that need direction-specific warnings rather than a broadband reverse tone.

Manufacturer Warranty - Lifetime
Brigade cover bbs-tek reversing alarms under a lifetime warranty. This covers the alarm for the life of the vehicle it is fitted to, against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, in accordance with the manufacturer's standard warranty terms.

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental or impact damage, incorrect or unauthorised installation, unauthorised modification, or use outside the product's stated operating conditions. Installation should be carried out by a qualified auto electrician; damage caused by DIY wiring is not covered.
