Vehicle Direction Alarm | Left, Right and Reverse | VDA001 is an audible warning system that announces a vehicle's movements to workers and pedestrians nearby. When the driver indicates or selects reverse, the alarm sounds the matching warning, backed by four flashing LEDs, so people on the ground know which way the vehicle is about to move.

The unit surface mounts to the vehicle body with the supplied screws and foam pad, and wires into the vehicle through a 6-pin connector with an 800mm breakout cable. Running 10 to 32V DC, one part number covers 12V utes and 24V trucks and plant. Installation by an auto electrician as part of the vehicle fit-out is recommended.

Warnings play at 90dB in voice mode or 93dB tonal at 1kHz, selectable per installation, with left, right and reverse each triggering their own output. The directional announcement tells workers not just that the vehicle is moving but which way, information a standard reversing beeper cannot give.

The IP67-rated housing seals against dust and water for exposed mounting on trucks, plant and site vehicles that work in weather and get washed down.

It fits into a vehicle safety package alongside beacons, reversing equipment and vehicle warning lighting; UAGS fits alarms like this during traffic control vehicle fit-outs.

Typical installs are traffic control vehicles working around crews on foot, waste and delivery trucks in pedestrian areas, and plant and site vehicles operating where ground workers are close to moving machines.

This product is supplied by UAG Services Pty Ltd and is covered by a 12-month limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal intended use, from the date of purchase. The warranty applies to the original purchaser and proof of purchase is required for all claims.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by incorrect installation, wiring faults, misuse, modification, impact, environmental exposure beyond intended use, or normal wear from service conditions. Labour and installation costs are not included. Installation should be carried out by a qualified auto electrician.

Claims are subject to inspection and approval. Where a defect is confirmed, UAG Services Pty Ltd will repair or replace the product at its discretion.
