Brigade Self Adjusting Reverse Alarm White Noise 77-97dB

The Brigade Self Adjusting Reverse Alarm White Noise 77-97dB (model SA-BBS-97) is a bbs-tek smart broadband reverse alarm for trucks, plant, tippers and traffic control vehicles. A built-in microphone reads the noise around the vehicle and the alarm sets its own volume 5 to 10dB above the ambient level, anywhere between 77dB and 97dB. On a quiet residential street it stays quiet. On a busy site with plant running, it lifts to stay heard.

Like the rest of the bbs-tek range it produces a multi-frequency broadband sound rather than a single-tone beep. The sound dissipates quickly and stays localised to the danger zone directly behind the vehicle, so people working nearby can tell which vehicle is reversing without the noise carrying across a whole depot or site.

A fixed-output alarm has to be set loud enough for the worst case, which means it is louder than it needs to be most of the time. Self adjusting output is the practical answer where one vehicle works across mixed environments, or where noise complaints have already become a problem.

The alarm is sealed to IP68 and epoxy filled against mud, water and vibration, with a mechanical resistance rating of 10G, and it can be steam and pressure cleaned. It runs on 12V and 24V systems with a 10 to 32V operating range. It carries UN ECE Regulation 10.06 EMC approval (E11*10R06/02*13115*00), is CE marked, conforms to SAE J994 and has been EMC tested to ISO 13766-1 and ISO 13766-2 for earth-moving and construction machinery.

Installation should be carried out by a suitably competent person or auto electrician. Do not fit a self adjusting alarm in a confined space where an echo can interfere with the volume system.

Manufacturer Warranty - Lifetime
Brigade cover bbs-tek reversing alarms under a lifetime warranty. This covers the alarm for the life of the vehicle it is fitted to, against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, in accordance with the manufacturer's standard warranty terms.

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental or impact damage, incorrect or unauthorised installation, unauthorised modification, or use outside the product's stated operating conditions. Installation should be carried out by a qualified auto electrician; damage caused by DIY wiring is not covered. Fitting the alarm in a confined space where an echo interferes with the self adjusting volume system is outside its intended use.
