GME TX6165 5/1W Handheld UHF CB Radio is a 5 watt handheld built for traffic controllers, civil crews and contractors who need reliable communication across a worksite, a convoy or a spread-out crew. This is the full-kit version, supplied with everything needed to put it straight to work, on foot or from the vehicle.

5 watts is the maximum transmit power allowed for UHF CB in Australia, so the TX6165 runs at the top of the legal range. It covers all 80 UHF CB channels (476.425 to 477.4125 MHz) and operates under the ACMA citizen band class licence, which means no individual licence and no licence fee. Switchable 5/1 watt power, scan, dual and triple watch, a priority channel and VOX hands-free cover the day-to-day on site.

The radio is IP67 rated, so it is dust tight and handles being dropped in water, and it carries a MIL-STD-810G rating for shock, vibration and temperature. A 2600mAh lithium-ion battery gives up to 18 hours at 5 watts or 30 hours at 1 watt, enough for a full shift. A 2 watt speaker and high-contrast display keep it clear around plant and traffic, and there is a built-in LED torch and a user-programmable button.

The kit includes the radio, 2600mAh battery (BP026), desktop charger (BCD020), AC adaptor (PS013), antenna (AE4021), belt clip (MB060), IP67 speaker microphone (MC011), earpiece microphone (HS015) and a 12V vehicle charger (BCV007), so a crew member can move between driving and on-foot work without swapping radios.

The TX6165 handheld radio is covered by a 3-year manufacturer warranty from GME. Included accessories are covered by a 1-year manufacturer warranty.

Warranty claims are handled through GME's authorised service network. UAG Services can help with the process, including providing proof of purchase and facilitating claims where needed.

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. It does not cover damage caused by misuse, incorrect installation, unauthorised modification or normal wear from operational use.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. This warranty is provided in addition to these rights and does not limit or exclude them.
