Oversize Load Ahead Sign | Manual Lift | Pilot Vehicle Sign is a double-sided vehicle-mounted sign used on pilot and escort vehicles to give road users advance warning that an oversize load is being moved. Both faces display OVERSIZE LOAD AHEAD, so the warning reads from in front of and behind the pilot vehicle.

The sign mounts to a roof rack, ute headboard or dedicated mounting point, with multiple mounting holes to suit different vehicle setups. Two gas struts lift the sign from its flat stowed position to upright, and the right-hand strut locks out to hold it raised during pilot operations. At the end of the movement the sign folds back flat for travel.

Raising and lowering is a one-person manual operation. There is no wiring or actuator to install or maintain, which keeps the sign simple to transfer between vehicles and quick to put into service.

The sign faces use Class 2 reflective material to AS 1906.1-2003 and the frame is powder coated steel for vehicle-mounted use. Removable beacon brackets are supplied for fitting warning beacons above the sign. They ship removed to keep the carton compact, so some assembly is required on arrival. Warning lights are sold separately.

In service, this sign runs on pilot and escort vehicles supporting oversize load movements, agricultural machinery transport, heavy equipment relocation and wide load escorts on public roads. Requirements for pilot vehicle signage vary by state and load class, so confirm the requirements that apply to your operation.

This product is supplied by UAG Services Pty Ltd and is covered by a 12-month limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, impact, modification, overloading, environmental exposure beyond normal vehicle use, or failure to secure the sign correctly during transport or operation.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
