LED Traffic Marshalling Wand | 340mm | Waterproof, Multi-Mode

The 340mm LED Traffic Marshalling Wand is the standard handheld signalling wand for traffic control, aviation ground crew and marshalling work, giving traffic controllers, marshalls, emergency services and airport ground crews a longer, brighter hand signal for directing vehicles, aircraft and pedestrians in low light and after dark.

The wand is held and operated with one hand via the non-slip handle, with a waterproof end-cap switch stepping through the flash modes. A magnetic base and hand lanyard let it attach to a vehicle, sign frame or trailer for hands-free use, or be carried securely between tasks.

A commercial-grade LED lights the 182mm red illuminated tube section, rated by the manufacturer for visibility beyond 1km, with up to 130 hours of runtime in the flash modes and around 70 hours on steady, from 2 x C batteries (not included). Four modes are available: off, slow flash, fast flash and steady on. Current Austroads temporary traffic management guidance describes a red illuminated wand supplementing the stop slow bat during night works, which is the role this wand fills for traffic control crews.

The 342mm housing is reinforced PP/PC plastic with an IP67 waterproof switch and battery compartment, spring-loaded stainless steel battery terminals and an epoxy-coated circuit board for corrosion resistance, and the wand is drop-tested by the manufacturer to 5 metres. This build suits repeated outdoor use in wet weather and roadside conditions where the shorter 260mm LED Traffic Marshalling Wand is not waterproof rated.

For everyday traffic control, aviation ground crew and event marshalling duties, most crews standardise on this 340mm wand for its longer reach, waterproof housing and drop-tested build. The shorter 260mm wand suits lighter duties, such as a glovebox spare or a back-up wand carried alongside the main kit.

Common uses include traffic control and marshalling on roadwork sites and lane closures, night works alongside the stop slow bat, aircraft and ground crew signalling, event and crowd control, and other worksite direction where a longer-range, weatherproof handheld wand is needed.

This product is covered by a 1-year warranty from UAG Services Pty Ltd or the original manufacturer, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions.

Traffic control equipment must be used, stored and maintained correctly. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from incorrect use, impact damage, modification, poor storage, normal wear and tear, misuse, or exposure beyond the product's intended operating conditions.
