Monocrystalline Solar Panel | 12V 80W

Powertech 12V 80W Monocrystalline Solar Panel is a vehicle electrical solar panel used as an optional solar charging input within suitable auxiliary power and dual battery systems. It is used on work utes, fleet vehicles, service vehicles, traffic control vehicle fitouts, caravans, camper trailers and off-grid auxiliary power setups where the panel specifications suit the system design.

The panel is mounted to a suitable vehicle, canopy, trailer, caravan or fixed auxiliary power setup using an appropriate mounting system selected by the installer. It is supplied as a solar panel only, with a junction box, bypass diode, 900mm cable lead and 4mm PV connector in an MC4 style format. Mounting brackets, regulator, charge controller, DC-DC charger, battery, wiring kit and installation hardware are not confirmed as included.

The panel provides 80W continuous power output with 21.6V open circuit voltage, 17.6V voltage at power max and 4.55A current at power max. Final solar panel selection must be based on panel specifications, regulator or charger compatibility, battery system configuration, mounting location, cable run length, environmental exposure, vehicle setup and installer assessment.

Monocrystalline panel construction, anti-reflective glass and a self-cleaning glass surface are used to support solar output in suitable conditions. Supplier information states the panel is smaller and more compact than previous supplier models for the same power output, provides good performance in low light environments, and produces 2–3% more power with a higher kWh/kW ratio compared with older monocrystalline designs.

The tempered glass cover, anodised aluminium frame, junction box and bypass diode support use in suitable vehicle and auxiliary power applications. The anti-reflective and self-cleaning glass surface may help reduce power loss from dirt and dust, but regular inspection and maintenance requirements should still be assessed based on the installation environment.

This panel may be used with industry-standard inverters and mounting systems where the supplied specifications suit the installation. Compatibility with solar regulators, DC-DC chargers, battery systems, inverters, mounting hardware and vehicle electrical layouts must be confirmed before use.

This product is covered by a 25-year limited manufacturer warranty.

Supplier information states the warranty covers defects in construction and manufacturing for 5 years, and warrants that electrical output will remain above 80% of the original rated output for 25 years, subject to supplier or manufacturer warranty terms.
