F3 9W Mini Red LED Warning Light Head | TIR Lens

The F3 is a compact, ultra-thin LED warning light head running 9W from three 3W CREE LEDs behind a TIR lens. The light head itself measures only 50 x 22mm, which makes it the smallest head UAGS stocks and puts it into grille surrounds, mudguards, rear decks, rear windows and the tight spots on traffic control, civil, utility and fleet vehicles where a full-size head will not fit. It comes with a removable black aluminium housing and can be fitted either way. Stick the light head straight to a surface using the 3M adhesive pad on its back, which is the slimmest option and leaves almost nothing proud of the panel. Or seat the head into the aluminium housing, where the same 3M pad holds it in place, and screw the housing down through the two outer mounting holes. The housing adds real impact protection, which is worth having on a grille, bar work or a truck body where the head takes knocks. With the housing fitted the assembly measures 64 x 33 x 13mm, and the loom passes out through the slot in the centre of the housing's rear face.

The four-core loom runs red positive, black ground, yellow for synchronisation and pattern selection, and white to set simultaneous or alternating operation on a paired install. The manufacturer specifies a 2A fuse. Confirm mounting method, fusing and wiring with your auto electrician for your specific vehicle and application.

The head runs 13 flash patterns, four of which conform to ECE R65, and accepts 10 to 33V DC, so the one part covers 12V and 24V vehicles and plant. Multiple F3 modules can be synchronised together off the yellow wire. Note that the pattern setting resets if the yellow wire is held against positive for more than three seconds.

The head is sealed to IP67, rated for an operating temperature of -20 to +65 degrees C, and the LEDs are rated at 100,000 hours. Maximum draw is 4.5W.

Supplied product data lists SAE-10-W-2 and ECE R10 for the F3. Vehicle lighting requirements vary by vehicle type, registration category and jurisdiction, so confirm the requirements that apply to your vehicle and use.

The F3 is the smallest head in this range. The X6 18W LED warning light head is the larger six-LED, 18W version with a 180 degree viewing angle, and is the head UAGS continues to stock in depth across amber, white, red, blue and blue/red. This product is imported and branded by UAG Services Pty Ltd, which acts as the manufacturer of this item for warranty purposes. It is covered by a 3-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, weathering or UV degradation, accidental or impact damage, water ingress caused by damaged seals not reported at delivery, incorrect or unauthorised installation, unauthorised modification, or use outside the product's stated voltage and operating conditions. Installation should be carried out by a qualified auto electrician; damage caused by DIY wiring is not covered.
