SupaGrip SafeKerb Ramp Replacement Connector | Lots of 10

Screw fit replacement connector for the LowPro edges on the Oxford SupaGrip SafeKerb Ramp. Sold as a single connector in lots of 10, which is exactly one full set for one ramp. Oxford Plastics calls this part the SupaGrip clip, product code O838.

Each connector is a two part assembly: a hexagonal socket base that sits under the edge, and a hexagonal capped stem that screws into it from the top to clamp the edge to the ramp body. Assembled it measures 34mm across the flange and 22mm high.

These are not the same as the connectors fitted at manufacture. The original ones are press fit, pushed in during assembly, and are not designed to be refitted once removed. The replacements are screw fit, which is what makes them a field repair: a crew can wind one in by hand at the kerb, where a press fit connector has to be forced in and cannot be taken out again cleanly. Both types do the same job in the same holes.

A ramp uses ten connectors, five along each long edge. They are a wear point, and crews handling ramps daily will eventually work one loose or break one. A missing connector lets the edge lift away from the ramp body, which is the part that grips the road surface and stops the ramp sliding. Keeping a lot of ten in the ute or the depot means a ramp can be repaired on the spot rather than taken out of service. Wind them up firm by hand and no further, since overtightening can strip the thread.

These replacement connectors carry a 12 month warranty from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. They are manufactured by Oxford Plastics in the United Kingdom and the warranty is provided by the manufacturer or its Australian importer. UAG Services handles claims on your behalf, so you do not need to deal with the manufacturer directly.

The warranty does not cover connectors damaged by overtightening, connectors fitted to a product other than the Oxford SupaGrip SafeKerb Ramp, or connectors fitted to a ramp that is already cracked or bent. Connectors are a consumable wear part and normal wear from repeated fitting and removal is not a defect.
