Traffic Vehicle Racking Cage | Design 7 | Ute & Truck Tray Mount

Traffic Vehicle Racking Cage (Design 7) is an Australian-made, vehicle-mounted storage and deployment system for traffic control equipment. It mounts to the tray of a traffic control ute or truck and keeps multi-message frames, corflute sign panels, frame legs, cones and stop/slow bats organised and accessible during temporary traffic management work. It is used by traffic management companies, civil contractors, utility crews and councils running equipped traffic control vehicles.

The cage is installed on a ute or truck tray as part of a traffic control vehicle fitout. Fitment is carried out at the UAGS workshop in Bayswater North, Victoria, or the cage can be shipped Australia-wide for installation. Sign panels and multi-message frames slide into bent zinc-plated steel sheet sections, an extended leg section holds the frame legs, and a chain secures cones during transport.

During site setup and pack-down, crews work directly from the cage. Frames, panels and legs sit in dedicated sections, so equipment comes off the vehicle and goes back on in a repeatable order rather than being loaded loose on the tray. A dedicated stop/slow bat compartment keeps hand signalling equipment separate from the sign stock.

The cage is fabricated from 25mm SHS DuraGal steel with cold galvanising paint applied over welded areas. The sign and frame housings are formed from bent zinc-plated steel sheet, suited to repeated loading, road vibration and outdoor exposure on working vehicles.

Design 7 stores 25 multi-message frames, such as the Multi-Message Traffic Sign Frame No. 1, along with two 200mm sections for 600x600mm corflute sign panels, one 200mm section for 1200x300mm panels, 60 Y-frame legs, four chevron (LSM) units, two stop/slow bats, cone bars and one B-Class arrow board. UAGS Fabricated Steel Warranty - 2-Year Limited Coverage
This product includes a 2-year limited warranty from UAG Services Pty Ltd covering manufacturing defects in the welded steel fabrication, including structural integrity, welds and bends, under normal use conditions.

This warranty does not cover wear and tear, rubbing, scuffing or wearing of the cold galvanising paint or powder coat finish from normal handling, transport or storage, nor does it cover damage from misuse, impact, unauthorised modification or incorrect use.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
