HL6 18W White LED Warning Light Head | Linear Lens

The HL6 is a surface mount LED warning light head built around six 3W LEDs behind a linear (LIN) lens, giving an 18W LED array. The manufacturer rates it as a wide angle warning light, and the linear lens spreads output along the length of the lens window rather than through separate optical cells. It signals vehicle presence on traffic control, civil, utility and fleet vehicles, plant and machinery, and is supplied in white output only.

The HL6 surface mounts through two screw fixing points, one at each end of the housing, 104mm between centres, using 4mm screws. A moulded rubber surround seats the head against the mounting surface. It suits grille surrounds, bull bars, guards, tray and body rails, headboards and rear body panels where a low profile head is needed. Confirm mounting hardware and wiring with your auto electrician for your specific vehicle and application.

Output runs across 19 selectable flash patterns at a flash rate of 1 to 4Hz. Input is 10 to 30V DC, covering 12V and 24V vehicles and plant with the one part, at a maximum draw of 8W.

Wiring runs on four cores: red for +12 to 24V DC power through a 3A fuse, black for chassis ground, white to set the head into flash group one or group two for simultaneous or alternating operation, and yellow for pattern selection and synchronisation. Connecting the yellow wires of several heads together synchronises their flash, so a set of front, side and rear heads runs as one system. Wiring should be carried out by a qualified auto electrician.

The head is built on an aluminium base, with the internals fully encapsulated for moisture, vibration and corrosion resistance. It is rated for ambient temperatures from -20 to +65 degrees, suited to exposed mounting positions on vehicles working in vibration, dust and weather, and LED lifespan is rated at 100,000 hours.

The HL6 is the linear lens head in this range, and shares its 120 x 42 x 25mm housing with the H4 12W LED warning light head, which carries four LEDs behind a TIR lens instead and is available in white, red, or red and blue. The X6 18W LED warning light head is the other six-LED 18W head, in a much smaller 90mm housing with a 180 degree TIR lens, and the F3 9W mini LED warning light head is the smallest head in the range for tight spaces. This product is imported and branded by UAG Services Pty Ltd, which acts as the manufacturer of this item for warranty purposes. It is covered by a 3-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, weathering or UV degradation, accidental or impact damage, water ingress caused by damaged seals not reported at delivery, incorrect or unauthorised installation, unauthorised modification, or use outside the product's stated voltage and operating conditions. Installation should be carried out by a qualified auto electrician; damage caused by DIY wiring is not covered.
