Horizontal Arrow (SYM) TM5-8B

Horizontal Arrow (SYM) TM5-8B (1200x300mm) corflute sign panel, commonly called a long directional arrow, displays a black long directional arrow symbol on a yellow retroreflective background. It is used in temporary traffic management setups to indicate the direction of a side road or location where roadwork, road plant or an event is taking place, displayed beneath the panel that describes the activity.

The signface layout, symbol and colours follow the applicable AS 1743:2023 signface design for the TM5-8B code. This standard-listed TM Series traffic diversion and direction panel is supplied as a modular corflute panel for use with compatible temporary roadwork sign frame systems.

UAGS temporary traffic sign corflute panels are manufactured on 6mm UV stabilised corflute using Class 400T retroreflective yellow sheeting with opaque black printing. The black long directional arrow symbol, black border and yellow retroreflective background support clear direction indication where this panel is specified.

This 1200x300mm corflute sign panel is designed to slide into compatible temporary roadwork sign frames, including suitable 1200x300mm Double-Sided Traffic Sign Frame Type 4 arrangements and suitable Multi-Message Sign Frame No. 1 arrangements where the frame accepts a 1200x300mm corflute panel.

In practical use, the long directional arrow may be displayed with an On Side Road TM5-9A panel to indicate the direction of the side road where roadwork is being carried out, or with an advance warning panel such as Roadwork Ahead or Road Plant Ahead to indicate which direction the activity lies from an intersection. The panel is printed as a single arrow; the direction shown depends on how the panel is oriented in the frame for the site.

The long directional arrow is a direction indicator, not a detour marker. Where traffic is being diverted off the normal roadway, the Detour Left TM5-1B(L) and Detour Right TM5-1B(R) panels carry a DETOUR legend with an arrow for that purpose.

This panel provides direction information only. It does not create, authorise or legally enforce a lane change, turn restriction, detour or traffic control arrangement by itself. Selection, placement, panel pairing, frame arrangement and use remain subject to the applicable TMP, TGS, project requirements, site conditions and relevant authority requirements.

Corflute Sign Warranty - 1-Year Limited Coverage
This product includes a 1-year limited warranty from UAG Services Pty Ltd covering defects in materials and workmanship present at the time of delivery.

This warranty applies only to signs that are unused, unmodified and stored under normal conditions. It does not cover wear and tear, weathering, UV degradation, fading, accidental damage, transport or handling damage after delivery, or incorrect or improper installation.

Claims are subject to inspection and approval. Where a defect is confirmed, UAG Services Pty Ltd will repair, replace or refund the product at its discretion. Return shipping costs are handled in accordance with the UAGS Returns Policy unless otherwise required under Australian Consumer Law.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
