Temporary Hazard Marker T5-4

The Temporary Hazard Marker T5-4 is a boxed edge metal traffic sign used in temporary traffic management and roadworks where a larger hazard marker is required. The black chevrons point down toward the side traffic is required to pass, indicating a lateral change in the travelled path through a worksite and delineating hazards or non-trafficable work areas beside the travelled way.

The T5-4 also has a specific night works role. Under AS 1742.3, on works extending overnight where an obstruction encroaches onto the roadway, a series of T5-4 markers may be used in lieu of traffic cones or bollards to form the taper, spaced so they read as a continuous line on approach. The sign is bent and folded sheet metal in a boxed edge design: the folded return edge adds rigidity, keeps the face flat in wind and daily handling, and forms the slots that take the sign legs. The 1500mm x 450mm face uses Class 400T reflective sheeting with black chevrons and a black border on a yellow retroreflective background, and the sign weighs 5.7kg.

All UAGS traffic sign legs are compatible with the T5-4's leg slots, including the Heavy Duty Y-Leg in yellow, the folding DuraGal leg and the curved leg variants in yellow and DuraGal. Legs are sold separately.

Where a smaller hazard marker suits the space, the TM5-5 Temporary Hazard Marker corflute panel runs in a multi message frame instead. Product selection should be confirmed against project requirements and site conditions.

Common deployments include roadworks, civil construction, utility works, lane closures, night tapers and worksite access areas, anywhere hazards, work areas or changes in the travelled path need marking under the applicable TMP, TGS and relevant authority requirements.

Traffic Sign Warranty - 1-Year Limited Coverage
This product includes a 1-year limited warranty from UAG Services Pty Ltd covering defects in materials and workmanship present at the time of delivery.

This warranty applies only to signs that are unused, unmodified and stored under normal conditions. It does not cover wear and tear, weathering, UV degradation, fading, accidental damage, transport or handling damage after delivery, or incorrect or improper installation.

Claims are subject to inspection and approval. Where a defect is confirmed, UAG Services Pty Ltd will repair, replace or refund the product at its discretion. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
